Innovative and Timely research on the experiences of Black Muslims in the US.

Advocacy

Why It Needs To Be Done

My work focuses on exploring our commonalities through our differences by highlighting marginalized views.

Black

5.1% of Hollywood Showrunners are Black, and Black writers only make up 17% of writer's rooms.

Muslim

Most portrayals of Muslims are inaccurate, one-dimensional, and male-centered.

Women

15% of film directors were women in 2019, the highest percentage in the last 10 years.
